The bold initiative to build a top class Medical College and Hospital is nearly complete. Academic activities have been strongly going on after getting approval from The Ministry of Health and family Welfare on 22.05.2006.
The 10 storied College building with the space of 12800 sq.
ft per floor and 10 storied Hospital building with 28400 sq.
ft per floor (each of which 7 stories have been fully
completed) have been purpose built. Within the college
complex, the secure hostel Facilities, a library with it
facilities, Laboratories, ICT enhanced lecture galleries,
prayer facilities, a cafeteria are but a few of the
facilities available to bring out the best in the students.
The proposed 750 bed hospital already functions with 375
beds.
The Endeavor is to provide better health care for the people
of this region. It is also to enhance the prospects of many
deserving, talented female students who to dedicate their
lives to the medical profession. It is to ensure that our
womenfolk, alongside developing their own morale, get their
fair chance to directly contribute to social development. |
Providing proper health care for the nation is a problem
that cannot be overcome solely by government efforts. It is
only when government and private initiatives both address
the problem that a solution can be reached. With such a
realization two private companies namely, Holy Land Private
ltd and Sylhet Education Ltd. Combined under the common name
of Holy Sylhet Holding ltd. With the purpose of developing
the infrastructure needed for proper health and education
services.
